After running our VM driven web shop for about 2 years (http://www.1barber.be), we were too busy to collect products and present them as a whole.
This way of offering customer discounts implies:
- Grouping the products
- Take a picture of them together¨
- Provide an appropriate description
- Compute product details like size and weight
- Assign the product to a new category
- Set related products
- Translate the new product
- ...

Imagine how much time this could take you in order to build hundreds of variations for every pack you create?
Instead, we made a step aside and looked at the problem from another angle.

We created a component that scans the customer shopping cart during its purchase session.
Each time a product is added, the cart is checked against a set of rules defining your bundle packages.
When the cart is qualified for a bundle, a virtual coupon is automatically added for the predefined value set in your bundle rule.
The coupon is compatible with VirtueMart's coupon system and can either be a 'Percent' or 'Total' type of coupon and can also be a 'Gift' or 'Total' coupon.

The component also displays a page listing with all the different package possibilities your cart can be qualified against.
This page can be called from your standard Joomla!^TM menu system.
Finally, the component is Joomfish! aware and can handle multiple languages.
